To be eligible for access to the IEEE Lounge (located in EGR 0104), members must demonstrate participation in the organization through one of the following:
Attend two general body meetings
Submit a unique exam or solution to the IEEE Testbank
The IEEE Testbank is an exclusive academic resource available to IEEE members. It consists of a growing collection of member-submitted exams and solutions from various courses across the University of Maryland. This collaborative repository serves as a valuable study tool built by and for the IEEE community.
Submissions will be reviewed by a board member to ensure all criteria are met.
Testbank Submission requirements:
Must have the professor’s permission
Blank exams are preferred; marked exams are accepted if incorrect responses are clearly indicated
All personal identifying information must be removed from marked exams
Math finals (100–200 level) must include an answer key
If a submission is denied, the reason will be communicated via email
If a submission is found to be a duplicate or does not meet requirements, the member must either submit a different, qualifying exam or solution, or fulfill the GBM attendance requirement.
If the submission is approved, the member becomes eligible to apply for lounge access, which is updated at least once or twice a semester:
