Activities at IEEE
Maryland Day
On Saturday, April 29, 2006, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, the University of Maryland, College Park, is opening its doors to alumni and their families, prospective students and parents, business and community leaders, and all residents of the surrounding Baltimore-Washington Metro area.
IEEE will have a booth set up alongside other engineering organizations underneath the tent outside of Glenn L. Martin Hall.
Student Professional Awareness Conference (SPAC)
The Student Branches of IEEE plan, organize, and implement S-PACs. Presenting an S-PAC allows students to gain valuable management experience and self-confidence. The initial suggestion for an S-PAC may come from the students themselves or from other IEEE members such as university professors or Section representatives. IEEE volunteers can provide experienced counsel and encouragement, but the students bear all the responsibility for producing S-PACs.
Study-a-thon
Come study, get to know your fellow IEEE members, and eat free food... Did we mention there is free food?
General Body Meeting
Meeting of all current and prospective IEEE members. The process for joining the chapter at U of M as well as the national chapter will be discussed. Goals for the semester will be presented. All those interested should attend. There will be free food.
